Oh no… it’s another cat post…

I must be going crazy. I keep hearing the high-pitched whine of "meow! meow! meow!" from Gigi outside my window. I would be going crazy except I'm pretty sure she's out there… wanting love and warmth from the cold. I don't know why she stays around my room since Dad won't let me let her in. She should go to that nice home that Vivaldi occasionally goes to. I know there's love and warmth and care there because when he'd come back, I could smell perfume on him as if he'd been cuddling someone who wore ladies perfume.

I don't  wear ladies perfume so that's not me.

Gigi wants to come in. She wants to be loved, held, nuzzle her nose in my armpit for warmth. She must have no sense of smell. Not that I smell, but we're getting off-topic…

Dad's pretty much perpetuating a double standard by not letting her in. If a Labrador puppy were to whimper by the door, he'd let it in so quickly. Plus, Dad's chief argument in this whole "Leigh, don't let in Gigi" policy is that he pays for the food… except that he doesn't. I've been buying the dry food. Rarely does he do it.

So when I went out tonight, I bought a nice little cushion — a fleecy cushion — for a few bucks at Woolies that I could put in a basket for Gigi to sleep in on our patio. She wouldn't be sleeping inside, but she would at least have somewhere nice to stay.

No, it appears. I can't do that. I'm not allowed to. It would tell her that she's allowed to live here.

This coming from the guy that originally helped to reinforce that notion when she first starting coming in several years ago:

Compare that to now where Dad's sympathy and empathy for cute and fuzzy animals that want warmth can be summed up in a single emoticon:

Double standards I tell you. Bah!

Anyway, for being such a good sport… here are some pictures of cute puppies I took tonight on my crappy phone camera when I went out to buy the fleecy comfy cushion I'm not even allowed to let Gigi sleep on. :(

I bet you Dad would let any of those in if they were whimpering or making cute puppy woofs outside of the bathroom window…
