Love Muffins

One thing I've noticed over the past year is phrasing and the way people say words.

For instance, "fuck" can be said in lots of different ways.

Consider in this instance, we're talking about the act of having sex. Here, you can say any of the following:

  • "I want to fuck you"
  • "I'd like to have sex with you"
  • "Want to go in the corner and shag?"
  • "I gotsta get laid tonight!"
  • "Bend over bitch; we're doing the nasty."
  • "Anal or missionary?"
  • "It's time for the funky cold medina."
  • "Would it be okay if we had sexual intercourse now?"

In fact, with the exception of the last one, every single one of those is probably a lot nicer than the phrase I'm having problem with because to be honest…

I don't think there's any nice way to say I want to eat your pussy.

World Laids Day: The Early Stages

I've had this idea floating around in my head for the past few weeks.

It's called World Laids Day.

Yes, yes, I know. The word "laid" can't have an "s" on the end to take the plural form. I'm using that form to piggyback onto World AIDS Day.

World Laids Day and World AIDS Day both share something: they both promote the awareness of safe sex. Let's face it people, safe sex is something people should be practicing and any day to help promote it is excellent, but there isn't a day that I've found that promotes the act of having sex.

We're talking about the physical act of sex here. I mean yeah, a lot of people have sex, but there are those of us that don't.

It's not just sex really. Those of us missing out on sex are probably missing out on other parts of a physical relationship we'd probably like to have. Kissing, hugging, etc etc.

So the idea of World Laids Day is to promote the act of giving one pleasurable experience to another in a safe fashion. Whether that means going out and having sex with someone you'd normally not give the time of day to or just going out for a beer with them, I think that World Laids Day should be promoting the act of a physical togetherness (if I can say that without sounding too much like a delusional idiot).

Typically, the lack of physical acts can lead people to depression and anger, violence… you name it. There's literally a plethora of possible scenarios that being a physical or romantic reject can have on a person's psychological well being.

So World Laids Day is about breaking out of the mold and changing. And not just for the day really. If you've gotten to know someone for that day, there's nothing to stop you from continuing getting to know them.

And to celebrate this hypothetical day that's essentially still in planning in the top of my head, I've made some ribbon designs…

Here's another…

And to anyone who thinks I'm being racist with my ribbons, think again.

Now we've got Caucasian, African-American / Aborigine (I'm trying to be as politically correct as a guy like me can muster), Latino (yeah, I know… orange isn't Latino… cut me some slack here), Red Ribbon, and the constantly misread Sexually Frustrated Purple (it's a regal colour actually, not a sexually frustrated one… or so I hear)

Now if there's one thing I don't want to see from all of this is some people coming along and saying that they need to have sex because some random guy on the internet said that March 9, 2008 was the day they should go and have sex. Sex is consensual. Both people decide if they want it and if a person can't respect that then they need to visit the pointy end a spear in a nice & quick fashion, sort of like their sex life would otherwise entail.

More ribbons in the "to be continued bit"…
