A little bit of Wisdom

As I move in and out of the living room, jumping through time and space to find a place to settle in either my bedroom or the lounge room, I’ve noticed that the ABC — who play old movies late at night — are playing a movie which is actually pretty decent right now.

It’s called ”One Good Turn” and stars what seems like a very cool actor named Norman Wisdom. He’s certainly doing a good job of the idiot role.

I do have a curious question, mind you, on one of the elements in the film.

At one point, as the characters are on a train to see another part of the country, they sing “Botany Bay”, an Australian folk song.

For an English movie, this has me a bit confused.

Anyone know why the kids sing this in an English film?
